We are convinced that working with only one variety is the key to producing excellent wines. This way we can really listen to its needs both in the vineyard and the winery. By gaining a deep understanding, we’re able to act with precision, improving its characteristics and preventing any potential issues. For Kostaki Winery this is the path to greatness!
Evmorfia Kostaki is a founding partner of Kostaki Winery. Growing up in Samos, the influence of the vineyard was clear, so she focused on studying wine.

Education
After a Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry from the University of Athens, she left Greece to join Vinifera Euromaster and study Viticulture and Enology. Her studies led het to France, Italy and California, where she wrote her thesis while at UC Davis. At the same time she completed the WSET Diploma in Wines and Spirits. Her work experience includes harvests in Champagne and Burgundy, as well as being a wine writer and consultant.
The wine geek
In 2020 she was accepted at the Institute of Masters of Wine, where she was awarded with three scholarships, and is now a Stage 2 Practical Only Student. This demanding exam has allowed her to truly understand the wine world and refined her palate, which is crucial for creating the blends of the Kostaki wines.
Goals
Her goal for Kostaki Winery is clear; to produce exciting, pure and elegant wines from her favourite grape!
Lorenz Immerfall
Lorenz Immerfall is a founding partner of Kostaki Winery. Lorenz comes from Bavaria, but for three years now lives permanently in Samos, Greece. In just a short time he has managed to become fluent in Greek!
Education
Lorenz holds a B.Sc. in Viticulture and Enology from Geisenheim University in Germany. His passion for wine led him to France and Italy, where he delved into Viticulture and Enology at Master Level. At the same time he successfully completed the WSET Diploma in Wines and Spirits.
The globe trotter
Lorenz has gained a lot of experience in the wine industry by working for wineries all over the world. His destinations included, Germany, New Zealand, Australia, France, Austria, Luxembourg, Portugal, Spain, the USA, Cyprus, England, and, lastly Greece.
Goals
His goal for Kostaki Winery is to craft wines that redefine the Muscat à Petits Grains variety.
