All vineyards of Kostaki Winery are certified organic and have rich biodiversity. We also practice no-till farming, which reduces our carbon impact by storing CO2 in the ground.
Sustainability for us does not stop in the vineyard. We are using lightweight bottles made from recycled glass for all our wines. This means 400-420g for still wine bottles, and 560g for sparkling. Also, our cardboard and labels are also coming from sustainably farmed forests.
We are using screwcap closures for almost all our still wines. Muscat is a variety that can oxidise easily, and screwcaps don't allow the oxygen from the atmosphere to enter the bottle.
It ensures our wines stay fresh and just as we want them, until you enjoy them! However, we are using cork closures if we believe the wines will benefit from controlled oxygen during bottle ageing.

"We have never tasted such racy, bright, and delicate wines from Greece. [...] The wines are organically certified and produced with natural yeasts, hardly any oak, and with lowish alcohol."
Samos is a vibrant Aegean island in the eastern Mediterranean, just a short distance from the Turkish coast. Its sunny climate, high annual rainfall (700–720 mm/Year), mountain slopes, and refreshing sea breezes create perfect conditions for growing high-quality grapes.
Vineyards here are terraced and tended by hand, reflecting a long tradition of viticulture and winemaking. Alongside its wine heritage, Samos is a beloved destination for travellers drawn to its beaches, charming villages, and rich history.
In 2024, the island’s airport handled about 295,377 foreign passengers — a near‑record volume for recent years, yet its large size does not make it feel crowded.
Fun Fact: Samos is the birthplace of Pythagoras, the famous ancient Greek mathematician and philosopher known for the Pythagorean theorem.
